Hi Everyone

My Mother, the wild woman

This is me going in for a scan

Me and Rick

We are all fine here. I'm going to post some pictures on Flickr of our ride on an airboat in the St Johns River this weekend. It was so nice. I think there were thirteen of us. My Mom really seemed to enjoy it. My brother in law treated us all for his wife's (Rick's sister, Diana)birthday. Sweet!

My heart. I think I see Jesus in there ;)

It was so nice to see all the wildllife. So many birds, lots of cattle, even some horses. Only one gator, but that's enough for me. It was a beautiful day, then we all had lunch at the fish camp. (catfish) It's pretty cool because they serve gator and frog legs.Not for me!
Anyway, things are cool here, no treatment this week or next so that's a welcome break. I only had a heart test done (MUGA Scan) so that was easy. I might throw in a picture of my heart just for kicks.
I have been trying to journal lately, I have been following along with my church's website. It's pretty nice to have that devotional on there. If you don't have a devotional to do in the morning, it's a pretty good way to get started. Plus, Pastor Mark's sermon this week was very powerful, I highly recommend you watch it. You can just click on the CalvaryChapel website over on the right.
We are starting to study the 10 Commandments. That's a good place to start.
On the political front, I have to say, I am having a difficult time with the new administration. For a few reasons.
Yes, I have been praying for the President,but I am so torn because I do not agree with some big issues that are popping up. How do I pray for him and the cabinet members? Any wisdom?
Anyone?
The abortion issue and Guantanamo Bay? Kinda sketchy.
On another note, Rick is up in the snow right now. I am envious. I LOVE the snow, I want to go snowboarding so bad. Rick and I used to go quite often when we lived n NH and Lake Tahoe. sigh.
Florida is very beautiful though and I am very thankful to be living here.
So....
That's it for me today. Oh, here is a scripture that I have been pondering.

Psalm 107:23-31.Psalm 107:23-31 (New International Version)

23 Others went out on the sea in ships;
they were merchants on the mighty waters.

24 They saw the works of the LORD,
his wonderful deeds in the deep.

25 For he spoke and stirred up a tempest
that lifted high the waves.

26 They mounted up to the heavens and went down to the depths;
in their peril their courage melted away.

27 They reeled and staggered like drunken men;
they were at their wits' end.

28 Then they cried out to the LORD in their trouble,
and he brought them out of their distress.

29 He stilled the storm to a whisper;
the waves of the sea were hushed.

30 They were glad when it grew calm,
and he guided them to their desired haven.

31 Let them give thanks to the LORD for his unfailing love
and his wonderful deeds for men.
This i the scripture I read for Moms In Touch yesterday and I have never read it before and I guess it is prophecy to Jesus calming the storm in the new testament.

Luke 8:22-25
Jesus Calms the Storm
22One day Jesus said to his disciples, "Let's go over to the other side of the lake." So they got into a boat and set out. 23As they sailed, he fell asleep. A squall came down on the lake, so that the boat was being swamped, and they were in great danger.
24The disciples went and woke him, saying, "Master, Master, we're going to drown!"

He got up and rebuked the wind and the raging waters; the storm subsided, and all was calm. 25"Where is your faith?" he asked his disciples.
In fear and amazement they asked one another, "Who is this? He commands even the winds and the water, and they obey him."
I hope you all have a wonderful day. I am going to get laundry done, change guinea pig cages and bed sheets, then sit and have some hot honey and lemon.
Ciao for now
Joann
